About Us
Diarmuid & Margaret O'Donovan combined their skills to establish HEC in 2015 with a focus on industrial electrical installations. It was a natural choice, as with over twenty five years’ experience in the construction and electrical industries between them they had seen it all. They lead a skilled team that provide project management expertise, quality workmanship and a willingness to provide clients with optimised solutions.
DIARMUID O'Donovan
Managing director and senior project manager
With over 26 years experience in the construction industry, Diarmuid started his electrical apprenticeship in 1993. He has spent his entire working career in the industry gaining invaluable knowledge and experience in power generation and distribution.
Prior to establishing HEC, Diarmuid held several management positions playing a key role in the successful delivery of renewable, power, industrial, commercial and residential projects. He has a proven ability to build strong client focused teams that deliver projects with a keen emphasis on safety, quality and attention to detail.

Margaret O'Donovan
Finance director and operations manager
Graduated with and Honours Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies 1999, Margaret has carved out a career in business management and finance.
Throughout her career, Margaret has held a myriad of finance and business management roles, from working for a multinational company dealing with foreign currency accounts payable to co-ordinating the recruitment, induction and payroll of 100+ staff for construction companies. Margaret overseas all the finances of HEC and manages the day to day administation, providing off-site support to the project teams.
