Synegy WA EV Network - 150kW DC Fast Chargers & 22kW AC Chargers
Successfully completed full electrical install on 12 public EV fast chargers for Synergy and the WA Government, covering locations from Kalbarri to Kalgoorlie, including all civil works and Western Power enabling works.

Goldfields Minesite Power Station -  11.8MW Solar Farm, WA
Contracted to complete electrical installation works including in ground and above ground DC cabling & conduits, earthing installations, SCB installation and termination, installing combiners,  stringing and dressing cables, terminating & testing DC cables, cable labelling. 

Switchroom, Kiosk, and BESS Manufacturing, Malaga, WA. The HEC team of Electricians, provisionally licenced electricians, apprentices, and electrical & mechanical trade assistants worked under the supervision of the Teck Global team building transportable switchrooms and kiosks, for blue chip iron ore mining clients and major government infrastructure & renewables projects.

The HEC team of Electricians, provisionally licenced electricians, apprentices, and electrical & mechanical trade assistants worked under the supervision of the Pacific Energy team building transportable switchrooms, kiosks, and Battery Energy Storage Systems.  These contained the following elements: HV switchgear, LV MCCs, PLCs, VSDs, AHUs, UPSs, structured cabling, lights, and small power. 

Goldfields Mine Site - Renewable Project
HEC provided comprehensive electrical support and punch list closeout services to the client commissioning team during the expansion of the Mine's integrated power facility. This critical project involved, integrating advanced renewable energy technologies seamlessly, including four 6MW wind turbines, a 24MW solar farm, and a 14MW battery energy storage system (BESS). 

Pilbara Minesite - Remote power generation upgrade
Working under client supervision, HEC electricians and trade assistants were tasked with installing cabling and containment systems to connect switch rooms with new gas-powered engines, installed to replace outdated diesel engines. Their work involved fitting various instruments and laying control and instrument cabling to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Additionally, they conducted essential earthing and earth testing to guarantee the safety and reliability of the installation, ensuring compliance with standards and optimal system performance. This upgrade not only improved the efficiency of the operation but also supported a transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions.

Our skilled team of electrical trade assistants provided expert assistance with the installation of low-voltage (LV), control, and instrumentation cables. This work connected newly installed diesel generators to an existing switchroom. 

Summerhill 5MW Solar Farm, Wallsend, NSW
Contracted to manage  trenching, underground cabling & conduits, installing combiners & string cabling, terminating & testing DC cables, commissioning of DC system.

Northam 10MW Solar Farm, Northam, WAContracted to assist Lendlease to deliver their first solar project due to our previous solar experience.  Managed the electrical install and the commissioning scope including balance of plant.

Laver Street 11kV RMU Installation, Newman, WA 
Installation of additional Ring Main Unit (RMU), cabling from existing RMU to transformer, installation and management of temporary generator.

Switchroom Manufacturing, Kewdale, WA.Built transportable switchrooms with the following elements: HV switchgear, LV MCCs, PLCs, VSDs, AHUs, structured cabling, lights and small power. 

Sunrise Dam Power Station, Laverton, WA
Installation and cutover of replacement 24V DC charger and UPS system in a challenging brownfield site. Intricate detailed planning allowed for seamless changeover without incident or loss of generating capacity.

Coober Pedy Hybrid Power Station, Coober Pedy, SA
Installation of neutral reference transformer during several short shutdowns in compact schedule.

Badgingarra 17.5MW Solar Farm, Badgingarra, WA
Responsible for maintaining statutory compliance on site.  Monitor and inspect for compliance to AS3000, AS2067, advise of breaches and remediation.

Rio Tinto Silvergrass East Power Factor Correction Project, Brockman 4 Minesite, The Pilbara, WA
Contracted to UGL to manage a complex brownfield project. We integrated civil, mechanical, electrical and commissioning activities to deliver a complete power factor correction system consisting of  2x transportable switchrooms with associated mechanical cooling, 2x 33kV transformers, expansion of 2x existing 33kV switchboards and all HV/LV cabling as required.

Emu Downs 20MW Solar Farm, Emu Downs, WA
Contracted to UGL to provide labour hire services of up to 12 experienced solar electricians.  Responsibilities included trenching, buried cabling, string cabling, earthing, DC cable termination, testing and punchlist activities. 
Coober Pedy Hybrid Power Station, Coober Pedy, SAProudly involved in helping deliver this project as the first of its kind in Australia to provide a stable and sustainable off grid energy supply to remote communities.  The scope  included a 1MW solar farm, 6.6kV overhead line and underground cabling, balance of plant consisting of a Toshiba Battery Energy Storage System and associated transformer, four large load banks and a control switchboard, one 6.6kV to 415V transformer, two 415V to 690V transformers, a 690V switchboard and a control container. 
Shenton Park 132/11kV Substation, Shenton Park, WAKey members of HEC staff were employed as electrical supervisor, QA supervisor and as members of the electrical team. This project involved a 132kV overhead line feeding a switchyard and 132/11kV transformer which in turn fed two 22 tier 11kV switchboards.  A challenging project due to the compact footprint of the site and proximity to an existing 66kV/6.6kV Western Power switch yard and substation.
West Angelas Power Station, Newman, WA.Our role here was to help restart a power station project where the previous head contractor had gone into receivership during the course of the build.  A demanding project due to its incomplete state and lack of documentation, our scope involved capturing substantial amounts of re-works, as well as testing, hand overs and commissioning.  

NOV Portable Power Utah Point Power Station, Port Hedland, WA Contracted to NOV to conduct HV shutdown and inspection.  Inspect and report on all HV critical infrastructure. Changing out and repairs to protection relays.   HEC's detailed pre-planning ensured minimum disruption to the commercial operation of the power station and port.  

Pier DC Data Centre, Canning Vale, WA.Engaged as the primary specialist contractors to terminate and test the large power reticulation system, including flywheel UPS’s and multiple power redundancy paths. Terminated several hundred 500mm, 400mm, 185mm and 120mm power cables followed by subsequent tests. Also engaged with further upgrades to AHUs, switchboards, switchroom & equipment earthing and other QA tasks.
